EUC Specialist Emergency and Urgent Care is staffed by an experienced team of Specialist Emergency Physicians and it’s open 10 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year, including public holidays.

There’s no need to get a referral or make an appointment. You simply walk into our one-stop Emergency Clinic that offers a seamless emergency experience with imaging, pathology, infusions, fracture clinic and pathology services all under one roof.

What level of emergency care do you require?

For all life-threatening emergencies please call 000 for an ambulance and go to your nearest hospital. Life-threatening illnesses include unconsciousness, chest pain, difficulty breathing, uncontrollable bleeding or being involved in a major accident.

For all other acute and urgent care conditions our EUC walk-in Emergency Clinic offers you a greater choice in how you access urgently needed medical care.

Specialist EUC Services

At EUC, we are a walk-in walk-out, inclusive facility for all non-life threatening emergencies where you will be seen and treated by a qualified and experienced Emergency Specialist Doctor every single time.

We bulk bill for all on-site diagnostics (e.g. X-rays and blood tests) and provide you with rapid access to other acute specialist care, such as paediatrics, early pregnancy, heart specialists, and our on-site Fracture Clinic.

Non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses that are treated in our clinic include, but are not limited to:

  • Allergic reactions
  • Back pain
  • Boils and skin infections
  • Complex lacerations
  • Dehydration, vomiting, and diarrhoea
  • Ear, nose, and throat problems
  • Early pregnancy bleeding
  • Fever
  • Joint pain
  • Migraine
  • Mild Asthma or minor breathing problems
  • Minor eye injuries and troubles
  • Minor falls or trips
  • Sporting injuries
  • Suspected fractures, sprains and strains
  • Urinary symptoms
  • Workplace clearances
  • Workplace injuries

Should you require a procedure, our specialist doctors are also skilled in sedation and ultrasound-guided nerve blocks to ensure any pain and discomfort is minimised.

Specialist EUC Fees

We charge one flat facility fee of $284 to all patients who use our emergency and urgent care clinic services. This has been determined based on operating costs, staffing, and with a view to sustainability whilst also meeting the needs of our local community.

This facility fee allows us to run our brand new Specialist EUC facility 10 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year, staffed by our highly trained and experienced team of specialist emergency physicians, nurses, and their support teams.

All other aspects of care are at no additional cost to you (provided you are eligible for Medicare).

All our on-site radiology and pathology are bulk billed.

Specialist EUC FAQs

Emergency medicine is a recognised speciality within medicine where the focus is on immediate diagnosis and treatment of patients with an acute medical or traumatic condition.

Specialist Emergency Physicians (also called Fellows of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine or FACEMs) have completed at least 7 years of rigorous specialist training in emergency medicine in addition to their degree in medicine.

Having passed their Fellowship or ‘Consultant’ Exam in Emergency Medicine qualifies them to deal with a full range of emergencies suffered by all patients regardless of age or gender.

If you are suffering a life-threatening illness such as unconsciousness, chest pain, difficulty breathing, uncontrollable bleeding or being involved in a major accident, please call 000 for an ambulance and go to your nearest hospital.
