As a Senior Specialist Emergency Physician at the frontline for over a decade, he thrives in the company of nurses, paramedics and fellow doctors to save lives, serve the community and help people in their time of need.
Through his ethos of lifelong learning and dedication to medical education, he continues to train the future generation of Specialist Emergency Physicians Australia-wide, by creating and running online learning platforms and courses.
Originally from India, Dr Kalava feels lucky to live and work on the central coast for over a decade. Dr Kalava is deeply embedded in the Central Coast community and he is the founder of the Central Coast Diwali Association which celebrates the Indian Festival of Lights.
Dr Kalava is obsessed about words and believes strongly in gratitude. He is an avid squash player and is a hopeless romantic based on the choice of music he listens to.
