Originally from the NSW South Coast, Dr Antonio completed his medical degree at the University of Wollongong. He then worked at Tamworth Hospital for several years, as well as on the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service, before working in the Newcastle region, including at the John Hunter Hospital Emergency Department.
Since 2018, Dr Antonio has been living and working locally on the Central Coast, appointed as a Staff Specialist Emergency Physician at Gosford Hospital.
He also holds a position as a Conjoint Lecturer with the University of Newcastle, training future generations of doctors locally at the Central Coast Clinical School.
